We are going to 'expand' HOK into an empire. HOK being the capital, the 'general' site with a little bit of everything. The new 'land' we will be creating will cater to specific Genre's and Fetishes. What the hell do i mean?

For example, Lolicon is a very popular Genre, correct? Would you enjoy it if say... there was a version of HOK that ONLY had Lolicon content, a Forums dedicated ONLY to it, as well as a theme completed design around the Genre? A place where enthusiasts alike can gather without fear of prosecution for their tastes?

Thanks to all the Members who have helped by clicking on Ad's that interest them (Hopefully not TOO many, as that gets you in trouble! Don't aimlessly click :P).

Hiya exams are finished so Soilin can continue to finally work on all those old doujins.

I have revisioned .Hack and Ai Kora and even added a bit information and even a nice cover to choose from in the beginning everything will end up with such an image like in the normal gallery

also we might sometimes not have any nice doujin covers to use so if you can make any artwork as a nice cover you're always allowed to give it to us and we'll add it ;)

So lets do two things with this post. First off, i will clarify what my 'rant' meant in simple terms.

IF YOU, YES YOU, CLICK ON ONE OR TWO ADVERTISEMENTS THAT YOU 'FIND APPEALING', THIS ALONE WILL EQUATE IN COMPARISON TO YOU VIEWING THAT SAME AD, 16000 TIMES!. You don't need to buy anything if you don't wish to, you have no obligation. Just click it, look, close, done. takes 2 seconds (less if you got a fast computer :P). This helps HOK IMMENSLY with funds, which we can in turn use to upgrade every aspect of hok! Coding isn't free. Hosting isn't free. Hell, nothing is.

Well, lets put this simple. You hate Ads. I hate ads. But without them, HOK goes kersplat.

Right now, we are receiving less, and less clicks every week, and are seeing a rise in people 'blocking' these ads, basically robbing us. HOK is free, but to remain free, ads must be there. Soooo, here's a few things to keep note of.

We have five options at hand, as listed.

#1 Users TRY to click on any Advertisements that catch their eyes. I can ensure all ads are spam/spyware/virus free. If you can prove otherwise, note it, and I'll have them banned on the spot.

One click is worth 7500 VIEWS. So you viewing that advertisement SEVEN THOUSAND, FIVE HUNDRED TIMES, equates to a single click on it. I highly doubt you've even seen that many ads yet lol.


#2 If users will not cooperate with us, we will be implementing 'forceful' measures to make users aware they are blocking the advertisements, and hurting HOK with a pop up appearing, and explaining how to disable it for HOK only, and all that jazz. Continuing to ignore it, will simply have the pop up continue. (No, it can't be avoided by popup blockers, it will be on the site it self).

#3 another option is to simply add popups. These make a good chunk of funds, and will recoop any loses we are suffering, while pissing off users to some extent. I dislike them, but if HOK is about to die because of it, i will do it. :(

#4 i can add hmm... 5 more advertisements all around the pictures. This will be annoying as hell, but solve the issue as well.

#5 and the final option, is to simply say fuck it all, and give in to arrogant, selfish leechers and shut down HOK. If you want to waltz in here, take what you want, then spit in our faces, well... fuck you. That's all i have to say to you.

We will trying to 'make users aware' of this situation more clearly as well in an upcoming change which when we have the one-for-all site login, being required to login for the galleries to view more then a certain amount of pics. No, we won't charge you or anything. It takes 10 seconds to sign up, and this is required so we can display a whole shitload of new features for the galleries. It's kind of hard to show these off, when no one registers, huh? :P

The above option may change, depending. We'll see. But I'm sick of catering to leeches. Me, and the countless other staff have spent DAYS of time working endlessly for YOUR enjoyment. If you can't at the very least unblock the advertisements, and click one or two every other visit and suffer for those two seconds, then well... I'm sick of taking it up the ass. (No pun intended ;D)

I'll write a more thorough news tomorrow once i'm fully concious, as I'm basically a zombie right now x.x
